Write protection on a SD card

A SD card (or USB drive) can get write protected due to:

  1. A hardware lock on SD card (usually an adapter for micro SD cards)
  2. Faulty or bad card adapter/reader

If you are certain the hardware lock on the card reader is not used; you might want to check with another card reader as well as the micro SD card adapter.

MiniTool is one of the best tool for disk management.
